JOLANDA BROKE HER TUB DURING Giving Birth: 'I COULDN'T SIT ANYMORE'

'I experienced my pregnancy quite heavy, nauseated, a lot of heartburn and hard bellies. But of course that's all part of it.

I didn't really prepare for the birth, just let it wash over me. My labor was too fast, there were no interruptions in the contractions and I broke my tailbone due to the pressure during pushing. My son was born within 4 hours. Because it went too quickly, the placenta did not detach and had to be removed manually. This caused me to bleed, which the doctors struggled to stop.

The postpartum period was difficult because I couldn't sit due to a broken tailbone. Softening materials would have been a godsend.'
